La Veu del Silenci for euphonium and orchestra

Description

La Veu del Silenci (The Voice of Silence in Spanish) is a composition by Ricardo Mollá conceived as a tribute to all those affected by the devastating torrential rains caused by the DANA storm in November 2024 in Valencia. Inspired by the magnitude of the tragedy, the work seeks to honor its impact and bring visibility to the cause through the evocative power of music.

The version for euphonium and orchestra is dedicated to Bastien Baumet, international soloist and professor of euphonium at the Conservatoire de Lyon. It was premiered with the Valencia Orchestra, conducted by Andrés Valero, during the International Tuba and Euphonium Conference 2025 (ITEC) at the Palau de la Música de Valencia (Spain).
