La Veu del Silenci (The Voice of Silence) is a composition by Ricardo Mollá conceived as a tribute to all those affected by the devastating torrential rains caused by the DANA in November 2024 in Valencia. Inspired by the magnitude of the tragedy, the work seeks to honor its impact and give visibility to the cause through the evocative power of music.

Additional information about La Veu del Silenci
The piece was originally donated to Music for Valencia, a solidarity initiative born in the Netherlands with the aim of helping those affected by the floods (DANA) in Valencia. La Veu del Silenci was performed in numerous benefit concerts, whose proceeds were dedicated to alleviating the damage caused by the DANA. The bass trombone version was premiered with piano by Bill Thomas, Principal Bass Trombone of the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, at the Southeast Trombone Symphosium 2025.
